Olafur Arnalds: a new album from the Icelandic composer and former member of Fighting Shit

"Classical music is alive and well, safe in the hands of a man who used to serve as drummer for the hardcore punk band Fighting Shit."

That man is Icelandic composer-pianist Olafur Arnalds, and I wrote those words in a profile of him for the Sydney Morning Herald in 2013, when he released his album For Now I am Winter, his first album that included vocals.

Arnalds has a new album, Remember, and is on a world tour, returning to the Sydney Opera House on November 28.

I saw him perform on previous tours, and reviewed his performance for the Herald, with a local ensemble, at his last Opera House gig. His performances are immersive delights.
